Plain-English Summary

TimelyMeet does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to us or to third parties.

The app requests read-only access to macOS Calendars to show timely notifications and quick-join links for meetings. All processing happens on your device.

What Data the App Uses

TimelyMeet reads calendar event data locally from the macOS Calendar framework to deliver meeting reminders and one-click joining. This may include the event title, start/end time, location, notes, and meeting links (e.g., Zoom/Google Meet/Teams).

Calendar Events (on-device only): Accessed with permissions to detect upcoming meetings and display notifications. The data is not copied to external servers.

TimelyMeet does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, fingerprinting, or any form of tracking. It does not create user profiles or share data.

Permissions Requested by the App

Calendars: Required to full access calendar so TimelyMeet can schedule and display reminders, and show 'join meeting' actions. You can revoke this permission at any time in: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → TimelyMeet

TimelyMeet does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, files, location, Bluetooth, or network devices.

Network Connections

The app does not send any information to the developer or third-party servers. When you choose to join a meeting, the corresponding link is opened with the appropriate meeting app or browser on your Mac. From that moment, the privacy practices of those meeting providers (e.g., Zoom, Google, Microsoft) apply.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

No data is shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties. There is no 'data tracking,' 'data brokerage,' 'cross-app tracking,' or 'advertising' in the app.

Data Storage & Retention

Calendar data is not copied out of the Apple Calendar database; it is accessed on-device as needed.

Local app preferences are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete the app (or can be reset manually).

Security

TimelyMeet relies on macOS security features, including the App Sandbox and system permission prompts. As the app does not transmit your data, the risk of a data leak via developer systems is inherently minimized.

Children's Privacy

TimelyMeet is intended for general productivity use by adults and organizations. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Jurisdiction-Specific Rights

EEA/UK (GDPR): Legal basis for processing is your consent for Calendar access (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and performance of the requested functionality (Art. 6(1)(b)). Because no data is transmitted to developer servers, there are no international data transfers performed by TimelyMeet. For inquiries about your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection), contact us at the address above.

California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not 'sell' or 'share' personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. If you have questions or requests under California law, contact us using the email above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. We will post updates here and revise the 'Effective date' above. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store listing.
