Install and update from the terminal.

brew install --cask romancha/tap/timelymeet

Installing the DMG

  1. 1

    Download

    Download TimelyMeet.dmg using the button above.

  2. 2

    Move to Applications

    Open the DMG and drag TimelyMeet to the Applications folder.

  3. 3

    Launch

    Open TimelyMeet from Applications and allow calendar access. The app appears in the menu bar.

Updates: the DMG version does not update itself. Check for a new version in Settings → About → Download Latest Version, click Watch → Custom → Releases on GitHub or run brew upgrade --cask timelymeet

Switching from the App Store version: your meetings and settings stay in place. Keep only one version installed, otherwise you will get two menu bar icons and duplicate alerts.

Troubleshooting

Calendar permission not granted

If you accidentally denied calendar access:

  1. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars
  2. Find TimelyMeet in the list
  3. Toggle the switch ON
  4. Restart TimelyMeet
Alerts not showing

Check these settings:

  • TimelyMeet is running (check menu bar)
  • Calendar access is granted
  • Do Not Disturb is off (or TimelyMeet is allowed)
  • You have upcoming meetings in selected calendars
How to uninstall

Installed from the App Store:

  1. Quit TimelyMeet from the menu bar
  2. Open Launchpad or Applications folder
  3. Click and hold TimelyMeet icon until it wiggles
  4. Click the X button to delete
  5. Confirm deletion

All app data and preferences will be automatically removed.

Installed from the DMG:

  1. Quit TimelyMeet from the menu bar
  2. Drag TimelyMeet from Applications to the Trash
  3. To also remove its data, delete ~/Library/Containers/org.romancha.TimelyMeet

Installed with Homebrew: run brew uninstall --zap --cask timelymeet
